  • Eduardo de la Calle is putting out an EP, Icosahedrite, through Carl Craig's Planet E label in January. Icosahedrite is the first solo release on Planet E for de la Calle, the prolific Spanish techno artist and Analog Solutions label boss. The EP's name, which refers to the icosahedron, a geometric figure with 20 faces, was chosen to reflect the producer's mixing of electronic music with "traditional musical genres like jazz or blues," according to Planet E. We're told de la Calle was influenced by jazz greats Miles Davis and John Coltrane, and Kenny Larkin's Dark Comedy alias, in putting together the release. Listen to a snippet of "Phason Jazz."
