Dimensional People is out through Thrill Jockey in April.
The LP, which the label describes as a "dynamic 50-piece orchestra," features a number of collaborations. Andi Toma and Jan St. Werner worked with Bon Iver, Aaron and Bryce Dessner from the National, Spank Rock, Zach Condon of Beirut, Amanda Blank, Sam Amidon and over 20 more for the new album, which was originally called new konstruktivist socialism. Each collaborator was given free reign to "imprint the album as whoever or whatever they want to be: a narrator, a perfect moment, a jam, an ensemble member, an abstract sound, a multiple persona, a mood, a soloist." Though Dimensional People is not a dance floor album, the press release also mentions footwork as a core reference for the LP, which runs mostly at 145 BPM.
The album marks Mouse On Mars' return to Thrill Jockey, where they released many of their classic albums, including Idiology and Radical Connector. Their last record, 21 Again, came out via Modeselektor's Monkeytown label
