  • Sydney DJ and radio host Kato is starting a new label called Doe Dee. One of the Sydney club scene's most recognisable characters, Kato has championed Australian music from behind the decks for around 15 years, and from behind the microphone at FBi Radio for more than ten. With Doe Dee he sets out to do the same, showcasing original material from Melbourne producer Fergus Sweetland, who's credited as Sweetland and Sugref, on his Claypots EP. The title track from Sweetland, which Kato calls "a dreamy yet almost paradoxically banging house workout," receives a remix from Sydney's Hubert Clarke Jr, while the Sugref tune "Relic Of Sugref," described as "a brooding electro influenced acid trip," is reworked by Alba, the duo formed by Cop Envy and Sam Weston. Listen to clips from the record before its release on Friday.
Tracklist A1 Sweetland - Claypots A2 Sweetland - Claypots (Hubert Clarke Jr Remix) B1 Sugref - Relic Of Sugref B2 Sugref - Relic Of Sugref (Alba Remix) Doe Dee will release Claypots EP on February 2nd, 2018.
