  • Stormzy won big at the BRIT Awards this evening. The British grime MC won two awards at the ceremony, which took place at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday night. He took home best male solo artist, as well as album of the year for his 2017 debut LP Gang Signs & Prayers. Other winners included Kendrick Lamar for international male solo artist, Dua Lipa for both British breakthrough act and female solo artist, Lorde for international female solo artist and Ed Sheeran for "global success." Stormzy closed the show with a performance of "Blinded By Your Grace," during which he launched into a freestyle and said, "Yo, Theresa May, where's that money for Grenfell? What, you thought we just forgot about Grenfell? You criminals, and you got the cheek to call us savages. You should do some jail time, you should pay some damages, we should burn your house down and see if you can manage this."
