  • Singapore has long been considered as the clubbing capital of Asia, starting with the birth of pioneering club Zouk in 1991 and in recent years with The Advent of Asia’s newest super club Centro. Centro started 3 years ago, and along with Zouk offered a truly international clubbing experience to travelers and locals. World class sound, visuals and club design have no become staple diets at Zouk and Centro. A major issue however for party goers in Singapore was the licensing laws – all clubs and bars were legally required to close by 3am. However, things are set to change, with Centro releasing the following statement:
Centro has just been given approval for the unprecedented 24 hour license (including both entertainment and alcohol license) enabling it to truly take clubbing to places where no clubber has gone before!! Now, there can be no more complaining and whining about the restrictions on Singapore clubbing. Centro will have the flexibility to extend it’s operation hours depending on the night and the occasion.”
This is a huge development and with the line-up of parties in the Centro pipeline as listed below including the Resident Advisor world tour with Ryan Papa on October 25 now carrying on until 5:00am, things are looking top drawer for party goers in Singapore. Upcoming parties at Centro October 18, 2003 Saturday - GU 24:7 featuring Lee Burridge October 19, 2003 Sunday - Centro Sundays till (till 9am) October 22, 2003 Wednesday - Wild Cheery (till 4am) October 23, 2003 Thursday - Barry Ashworth/Dub Pistols (till 5am) October 24, 2003 Friday - Dave Seaman (till 6am) October 25, 2003 Saturday - RA World Tour feat Ryan Papa (til 5am) November 1, 2003 Saturday - PEPSI X presents 24 Hour Party People (24 hour party in Singapore)
