  • London promoter LWE is opening a venue called Old Fountain Studios in Wembley next month. LWE describe the venue as a "blank industrial canvas" that is "gritty and unpolished on the surface, with rusted walkways and looming ceilings." The first party at Old Fountain Studios will happen on bank holiday Sunday, May 6th, with The Martinez Brothers headlining a Cuttin' Headz showcase. That'll be followed on May 10th by an appearance from Paul Kalkbrenner, who recently announced his latest album, Parts Of Life. "The new space opens up a great platform for production," says LWE's head of production, Loz Poulton. "With its previous life as a TV and film studio it has a range of rigging capabilities where I can fix a substantial L-Acoustics soundsystem over the dance floor. We'll also be flying trussing with a complex tessellating lighting design, which I'm super excited about, not to mention the installation of over 85 lasers." Check out some photos of Old Fountain Studios.
