Wanting to learn more about what goes on behind making a record, the dos and don'ts in production, creating artwork, planning the record and anything else your interested in, then the Soma Skool event will definitely be up your alley. Soma Records are organising this day event for the city of Glasgow as all the expanlations for the processes involved in the industry are explained.
On board for the day is Sidewinder who takes you into the studio to show off techniques this guy has learned and who produced his first few tracks from his bedroom. 4 Minute Wonders will be leading a video production workout for all budding filmmakers out there. Ideasfactory Scotland will operate a special area that will entail different workshops that provide a look at different areas in the music industry for people with no musical talents including law and copyrighting, touring etc. There will be Q&A sessions with big DJs including Dave Clarke, who will be performing live in Glasgow on the same night.
