Erica Synths displayed a new all-in-one modular system designed for heavy techno drums at Superbooth.
The 15-module system centres on Erica's Drum Sequencer, which is geared for live, 909-style drum programming. It powers a drum sampler module capable of triggering two samples at once with CV control over parameters like sample start point. Then there are dedicated modules for kick, snare, toms, clap and hi-hat, which are processed through a new dual drive module boasting three flavours of saturation. In addition to a stereo mixer, there's a dedicated drum mixer with seven inputs, a compressor and aux outputs for sending certain drums to effects modules.
Speaking of effects, there's also a dual effects module featuring eight algorithms derived from Erica's popular Pico DSP module. It's joined by a bassline generator built on a CEM3340 oscillator, a transistor-based sub-oscillator and two bucket brigade delay lines fused in a parameter called Beef. The filter meanwhile comes from Erica's Acid Box filter.
The system was shown off to Sonic State. There's currently no word on price or release date.
