  • Lyon's La Chinerie festival will not happen as planned this weekend, with a scaled-down version taking its place. Organisers have released a statement claiming the festival hit a snag with local authorities. "We fully understand the point of view of Villeurbanne town hall, whose only objective is to guarantee security to everyone," the statement reads. The likes of Young Marco, Roly Porter, DJ Python, Bufiman and DJ Sotofett are among more than 30 acts cut from the bill. The festival says it'll hold a smaller event, running from June 8th through 11th, called Plan B. It will happen at spots in Lyon and Villeurbanne, including Le Diskret, Terminal, Le Bellona, Le Croiseur and Le Transbordeur. The lineup for this event is yet to be confirmed. La Chinerie festival was the result of a successful crowdfunding project that raised €63,447 for its first edition, exceeding its €50,000 target. All tickets purchased on Resident Advisor have now been refunded.
