Rabit's next album, Life After Death, will come out on his label, Halcyon Veil, in October.
Recorded at home studios in Houston and Paris, the album collects two years of abstract experiments in synthesis and audio collage. Pulling inspiration from "DJ Screw, Enigma and Japanese ambient artists like Hiroshi Yoshimura," the label says, it sees him stepping further away from existing genres.
"I think I say 'synth' record because the strand running through it is this element as a compositional tool," he said. It's a follow-up to Les Fleurs Du Mal, his album from last year.
