  • Max Graham, the Canadian DJ/Producer who first made his name touring alongside Paul Oakenfold in 2001 is soon to release his latest mix CD ‘Shine’, on System Recordings. Originally a Hip-Hop DJ, Max now operates under the Progressive flag, however his sets are known to traverse an abundance of musical genres, we are told to expect the same from this Mix CD. Featuring tracks from Junkie XL, Sander Kleinenberg and Medway, Max has revealed he is trying to recreate a night out on the dancefloor. Speaking about the release he said
“…right at the point where the pounding techno cools off into a more melodic sound. This is where the CD is made. With tracks that tap into your head and make you close your eyes, imagining a better place to be.” Shine is about “creating that feeling as the night itself… when you open your eyes to realize you are surrounded by friends feeling the same thing you are.”
The last three years have been huge for Max Graham, in 2001 he was the highest new entry on the DJ Mag poll at number 23 (this year he finds himself at 53), whilst also mixing the 4th instalment of the ‘Transport’ Mix series and remixing for labels such as Hooj Choons, Delerium and Uberzone. ‘Shine’ is due out late January/early February 2004.
