One duo that has become synonymous with quality house music and eclectic beats is UK’s Groove Armada. Their most recent release, ‘Lovebox’ generated much acclaim and only confirmed the act as a genuine household name. Continuous touring has seen them become a popular live act amongst the dance community not only in the UK and Australia but also around the world. Fans will be in for a treat in January/February with the release of a mixed compilation released through London label Ragbull. Entitled ‘Doin After Dark’, the compilation will be the first for the label, which was founded by ex Nuphonic Jools Butterfield and Tom and Andy of Groove Armada.
The concept behind this new series is for the world’s best DJs and artists to showcase their favourite dancefloor numbers accompanied by live instrumentation and vocals. ‘Doin After Dark’ will feature tracks chosen by Groove Armada and Jools, which will range from current US, and European releases to favoured older tracks. Definitely a release to look forward to in the New Year. And with the festive season already in full swing, Groove Armada will be DJing around Australia and New Zealand during the New Year season.
