Some have described him to be the king of the f***ed up house loop and the purveyor of jackin’ beats, his filtered disco house grooves have become recognised as the signature DJ Sneak sound. DJ Sneak AKA Carlos Sosa to his family and friends discovered his love for house music after migrating to Chicago from the island of Puerto Rico. Heavily influenced by the radio station jocks at the time, Sneak acquired his own set of decks and his beginnings as a DJ started from there.
A chance meeting with Cajmere AKA Green Velvet produced Sneak’s first two albums and in 1996 the club classic, “You Can’t Hide From Your Bud” was released becoming synonymous with DJ Sneak’s sound. On the phone from Toronto, RA gets the lowdown from Sneak himself and managed to get the sink fixed at the same time.
