American breaks DJ/Producer DJ Icey, has being busy in the studio and will soon release ‘For the Love of the Beat’ – a new mix compilation hitting streets late April – on Zone Records / System Recordings. Featuring exclusive Icey productions and remixes, Icey says the 72 minute DJ mix “is similar to my live sets where ninety percent of what I spin is exclusive material. I wanted everything on this mix to be tunes I’ve produced, remixed, or re-edited,”.
Discovered by legendary BBC Radio One DJ and A&R man Pete Tong, Icey became the first American artist to sign to his ffrr label in 1997, and the first American DJ to be selected to record a prestigious "Essential Mix". ‘For the Love of the Beat’ will be in record stores during the fourth month of the year.
