The monthly night, Dirty Talk at Alia in Fitzroy has been bringing some good tunes to the hood for a while now. But after a lovely time with friends and the Alia crew, they have decided to relocate their monthly swear jar collection to Honkytonks. Dirty Talk will now take over the second Sunday of each month there, with the advantage over a longer night, running from 9pm to 5am. The first Dirty Talk at Honkys is on Sunday September 12 with the residents Pete Finger, Askew andJason Martin playing. Expect a bit of punk for your funk, and some electro for your disco, plus all the fun you can squeeze-in before Monday.
If you need a more regular fix of the Go Bang DJ crew, then catch Pete Finger, Askew and Jason Martin at Bimbo Deluxe in Brunswick St, Fitzoy. As of September, Go Bang is taking over the 12 to 3am Saturday night slot there. You'll get scuffed-up house, electro, disco, punkfunk and new wave from the crates and Go Bang trouble on a weekly basis.
