  • Its techno treats all around this Saturday 25 September when radio station Triple J features two very special techno DJ/producers in their Mix Up line up. It will be a taste of Detroit style with some sweet Soul Designer sounds from Belgium! As a warm up for his appearance at War of the Worlds 2060: Deep Space Techno, you can listen to a recorded set by Kevin Saunderson. Kevin is one of the pioneers of the Detroit Tech genre along with Derrick May and Juan Atkins. A huge name in tech circles, his production credits are numerous. His more well known monikers are Inner City, E dancer and the Reese project. For more details the WOTW 2060 techno party which Kevin will be headlining click here. Fabrice Lig is a Belgian DJ and producer who, influenced by Kevin Saundersons' track "Big Fun", started creating his own Detroit style techno. Self-taught when it came to midi, synths and harmonies, his music was so good that he is the only European to record on the Detroit label KMS. Also produces under the name Soul Designer. Melbourians can catch Fabric tonight, Friday 24 September as he makes his Australian debut, playing live at Blow Your Own Way at Honkytonks. Click the link below for more information. Open your ears and minds with a techno experience on Triple J's Mix Up from 10pm on Saturday night. If you're closer to the computer than the stereo, or overseas, hit the Triple J webpage to connect to their livestream. This music will be the perfect kickstart to your evening!
