As Soul Of Man tour around Australia in November and December to promote their brand spanking new Y4K release, their Melbourne gig will see them headling Futurebreaks at the Metro on Friday 3 December. They will be joined by Freddy Fresh (US), and Nubreed (live), fresh from their first overseas tour where they have been playing alongside acts such as Hybrid and headlining bigtime clubs such as Fabric. Soul of Man (UK) are best known as the head honcho's of label Finger Lickin', plus being infamous deck-wizards, producers, remixers and party animals in their own right! Their new Y4K mix features exclusive unreleased tracks and mixes from the likes of some of breakbeat’s finest producers including Plump DJs, Elite Force, Lee Coombs, Christian J, D Ramirez, Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes and the Drumattic Twins - and of course Soul of Man themselves. Freddy Fresh has been DJing since 1981 and resides in Minnesota, USA. He's DJ'd for Prince and performed all over the shop - racking up more frequent flyer points than Richard Branson. He's produced and remixed Boogie Down Productions (KRS-1), Grandmaster Flash, Schooly D, Courduroy, Meat Beat Manifesto, Frankie Bones, Jacknife Lee and many more. In addition he has collaborated with Fat Boy Slim, The Freestylers and the don, Krafty Kuts. Expect nothing less than a crate of block rocking beats twisted, mixed, blended and cut to perfection to create the true summer party vibe.
