House music has had a huge 2004 with the big labels again at the forefront recording big sales volumes, commercial success and big worldwide tours. One such label is Hed Kandi, whose DJ’s and parties have been rocking it from London to Melbourne and to finish off they are releasing their final compilation of the year. A quick glance at the track listing suggests an air of commerciality with hits that you may well have heard more than you would have liked, but there are some hidden house gems amongst the overplayed likes of Stonebridge’s ‘Put Em High’ and ‘Take Me Away’.
