  • The Melbourne breakbeat and drum'n'bass community have got wholeheartly behind a benefit gig called Beat.Aid to be held next Friday, 14 January at the Prince of Wales, St Kilda. A killer lineup has been assembled with international breakbeat DJ B.L.I.M. (UK, TCR), also coming to the party! Also playing are NuBreed (live), MC Tali with Hollie G, Zaniah & DJ Motive (Full Cycle), Andy Page (live), Phil K, Blueprint (live), Brewster vs Lynt, Fletch vs Seven and Kombat Bass. A beat.aid CD has been compiled to commemorate the night and contribute to the Red Cross fund raising efforts. The CD will include a selection of tracks from contributing Melbourne breaks and drum n bass artists. All artists are performing for free and 100% of all ticket and CD funds will be donated to the Red Cross Asia Quake & Tsunami Appeal. Further information on the Red Cross' efforts can be found here.
