After a long absense from Australian shores, Planet E head honcho and techno innovator Carl Craig is returning to Sydney in March, headlining Astrofunk on the Easter long weekend.
Universally regarded as one of the most respected pioneers of Detroit techno and has followed on from the futuristic lead of key players Juan Atkins and Derrick May. Responsible for seminal techno landmarks such as Jazz Funk Classics, Bug in the Bassbin and Innerzone Orchestra, Carl also records under the monikers BFC, Psyche, Paper Clip People, 69, Designer Music and Innerzone Orchestra.
Carl Craig will headling Astrofunk on March 26, 2005 at the Gaelic Club (64 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills) with tickets costing $30 + bf and available from the usual outlets. Supporting Carl on the night will be local talents AJAX v Simon Caldwell, Dave Slade v Biz, Vic v Mark Murphy and Emass v Methodixx. For those that love their techno, Detroit style, this is one event not to be missed!
