  • The dynamic duo of Mick Parks + Mick Wilson combined to form Parks + Wilson, but after a decade in the business the guys have called it a day on their partnership and go exclusively solo. Wilson has sighted lack of time with his current band project taking up the majority of his creative juices:
“With my new band and all the time that I am putting into it I haven’t got time to pursue Parks/Wilson in the capacity I would like. Don’t get me wrong I have had some great times DJing and Producing within the P&W banner for the last 10 years but I feel the need to explore new and exciting avenues. I am still DJing, that will never leave my system, but I am taking the opportunity to be more diverse with my musical tastes and choices. The new band (Brokendolls) is going thru a very busy and intense time with the Album finished and the first Single to drop in the next few months, things are looking very very exciting with a lot of big things to come throughout the year, with the promotion tours and festivals to concentrate on in England and around the World I really couldn’t spread myself too thin… but looking at the bigger picture I needed to push my production and artist talents and branch out into the bigger world of the music industry”
Mick Wilson has not turned his back on the dance side of things and in the near future will see releases with a couple of 12”s and a new Album project ‘Anti Heroes Audiophonic Orchestra’ which has seen him working in Berlin and Amsterdam. So as the saying goes ‘all good things must come to an end’, but will Wilson be able to combine rock ‘n’ roll and the wax, only time will tell. If the P&W was the yard stick for quality then the bench mark for his new project has been set very high.
