  • RA wrote about former Detroit now Wellington-based DJ/producer Recloose earlier this month in news of his Melbourne gig on Friday 15 April. We're pleased to announce that a Sydney date has been added to the tour now, with Recloose playing as a special guest at Future Classic at The Basement on Saturday 16 April. The evening will give people a chance to hear from of Recloose's new material with his second album ‘Hiatus On The Horizon’ due out soon on Peacefrog. Opening for Recloose are D’s on the Two. A swingin’ Sydney three piece they combine top notch jazz chops with a deep and organic dancefloor aesthetic in the spirit of Moodyman or Theo Parrish with Scott Saunders on keys, Michael ‘Touch Sensitive’ Di Francesco on bass and DJ Mako flipping beats. Other locals playing are DJs Simon Caldwell, Trevor Parkee, Nathan McLay, Somatik and Lippo playing across two rooms. Tickets are $28+BF and on sale now from Acetate, Machinemusik, So Music, Electric Monkeys and online at thebasement.com.au. All the previous Future Classic parties have sold out so act now and get your ticket. Doors open from 10pm.
