- As the day of the final draws close the entrants for each state have now been announced. Will they topple reigning Australian champion Staen 1?
As the day of the 2005 DMC DJ Championships Australia Finals draws close the entrants for each state have now been announced. There are 24 DJ’s signed up to challenge reigning champion Staen 1 for the DMC Australian finals next Saturday, 10 September at the HI Fi Bar, Melbourne.
The DJ’s from SA, VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD, WA will all be going head to head in the 3 minute elimination round happening earlier in the evening, then the top ranking 6 will compete in the Australian finals against the mighty Staen 1 as well as Dameza (2005 Tasmanian champion). Will Staen be able to hold down the title for three years in a row? Will Sydney’s DJ D (the only female entrant) beat the boys at their own game? Will it be a first timer who will take home the prize? You'll have to be there to find out!
The winner of the competition will take on the 2005 Australian DMC title, and receive accommodation and flights to London to compete again the world best at the world finals in September. The second and third place getters will also get a hefty prize pack courtesy of the sponsors.
There will also be a live show from up and comer Phrase, the smooth sounds of Scarz on 45 and the jaw dropping skills of the BurnCity Breakers crew. The hosts for the evenings proceedings are Reason and Troy Leo. For information on tickets, hit the link below. Good luck everyone!
