  • There’s something funny about October. While summer might have passed, there are a still a few sunny weekends. Winter fashion is fun, well at least until temperatures touch freezing point. And then there are the first signs of Christmas. Cue thoughts of parties, presents, holidays and general largesse. Bringing you the first treat of the festive season, Deeper Substance team up again with Groove Armada to rock the Rhythm Factory, this Saturday 22 October. After a successful summer residency on the terrace at Space Ibiza, Tom and Andy return to London with a bag of aural delights for those who have been naughty or nice (and we know which one is more fun). Deeper Substance Recordings supremo Demi, now fresh and rested after their riotous label launch party at Bedrock, will preview the new single Gearbox out on 31 October. Completing the line-up on the night is Alex McCulloch, Kai-Zen DJs, Alex Sansford and Dennis. A then lesser known Pete Doherty was a guest at last years bash. So if you fancy snoging a super model and becoming a ‘British icon’ next year, Saturday night may just be your launch pad.
