  • In good news for fans of South American sounds the strangely titled and eccentric Señor Coconut is back in the studio. Famous for blending the boundaries between electronic, simulation and the virtual world the whole band has slipped off the radar of late. Following 2000’s popular debut album ‘El Baile Aleman’ featuring the unique reworks of classic Kraftwerk singles that was followed up by ‘Fiesta Songs’, a long player that didn’t capture peoples imagination as much as the first. Good news has reached RA however that Newstate Recordings have tracked down El Senor in the wilds of Chile. Back in the studio, he will be cultivating his classic electronica, with the first single from this new project due in March 2006 and a full length album expected in May. Señor Coconut is expected be promoting this album alongside his orchestra (and dancing girls) bringing his unique South American festival spirit to some of Europe’s biggest events. Did we mention the South American dancing girls. Yay!
