LCD Soundsystem is going fully digital for their next project aimed at US fans previously unable to obtain releases only made available on the other side of the pond. DFA/Capitol Records will release LCD Soundsystem’s Introns, a digital album of b-sides from U.K. vinyl singles, remixes and other rare gems previously unavailable in the U.S.
Introns follows the 2005 self titled dance-rock fusion two disc debut and is a continued testament to their dance-driven focus that has proved so popular to date. Having been nominated for tow Grammy Awards – “Best Electronic/Dance Album” and “Best Dance Recording” (for “Daft Punk Is Playing At My House,” the first U.S. single) – James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy are clearly onto a winning formula.
