  • Flavorpill's Fridays Off the 405 party rolls around again on August 18. This month's guests are Spectral Sound labelmates Matthew Dear and Ryan Elliott. Fridays Off The 405 is a free monthly party in Los Angeles organised by cultural e-zine Flavorpill. The perfect way to unwind after a taxing week at the office, each month it presents live music, art and poetry performances at cultural mecca The Getty Center. Jimmy Tamborello (aka Dntel) and John Tejada spun at the inaugural party in May this year and you can check out Tejada's set in the Editor's Picks section over at AOL Music. After stealing the show at this year's Sonar Festival in Barcelona, Matthew Dear and Ryan Elliott are proving to be quite the formidable double act. Dear as Audion recently had a dalliance with lady of techno Ellen Allien on 'Just a Man/Woman' plus has another 12 inch 'Mouth to Mouth' due for release on Spectral Sound next month. Detroit up-and-comer Elliott has both an ear for a good tune and knows how to drop the crowdpleasers in style. Matthew Dear and Ryan Elliott spin in the Museum Courtyard of The Getty Centre in Los Angeles on August 18, 2006.
