Pokerflat boss Steve Bug and Notting Hill Carnival favourite Norman Jay are the latest additions to the Global Breakthrough clubbing tour in Cape Town, South Africa next February.
As the sun sets on Ibiza for another year, there's no better time to start planning your next clubbing holiday. Adventurous sunseekers should pencil in Global Breakthrough, the clubbing tour taking place next year in Cape Town from February 17th to March 3rd. The tour will include at least eight events set in unusual locations like an ostrich farm, waterfront warehouse or secret garden with flame throwers, exotic dancers and wild animals.
There are now two more great reasons to take the plunge and head to the Mother City. Steve Bug and Good Times man-in-the-hat Norman Jay have just been added to the line-up which already boasts deep house merchants Âme, Lee Burridge, Cass, MoS DJ/producer Mark Knight, Circoloco resident and Peace Division member Clive Henry, Tall Paul and Shane Watcha.
Norman Jay will bring his upfront disco, funky house and old skool jazzfunk to the opening party on February 17th while Steve Bug will have bodies swaying to his sexy minimal tech house in the second week. Don't know who Steve Bug is? Read our recent Steve Bug interview for the full lowdown.
Global Breakthrough will also host some of the best DJs and live acts from South Africa including Dino Moran and Goldfish who wowed the crowd and the visiting internationals at the inaugural Global Breakthrough in March.
There are still more big names to be confirmed but here's the full list of parties so far:
Saturday February 17: Global Underground feat. Lee Burridge and Tall Paul with second room hosted by Norman Jay
Sunday February 18: Defected (DJs TBC)
Wednesday February 21: Pushca with special guest Cass
Friday February 23: Renaissance (DJs TBC)
Saturday February 24: Toolroom Records feat. Mark Knight and Pete Griffiths with second room hosted by Push
Wednesday 28 Feb: Azuli feat. Âme
Friday March 2: Steve Bug and Shane Watcha
Saturday March 3: The Diamond Club closing party feat. Clive Henry and Diamond Club Ibiza residents
