Go-to man of electrohouse Stephan Bodzin gets off his Moog to mix the first Systematic label comp 'Systematic Colours Vol. 1'.
Want to know the origin of Digweed’s new bass-heavy direction? Or perhaps you’ve twigged Stephan Bodzin is the brains behind the anonymous Rekorder series or the Alchemist 12”s which are getting so much play these days. In the past twelve months, Bodzin has racked up releases on 20:20 Vision, Spiel-Zeug, International Deejay Gigolo and his own label Hertzblut, practically all of them finding their way onto dancefloors via the likes of Tiefschwarz, Evil Nine and James Holden. He's also the stealth studio boffin behind Elektrochemie and co-produced much of Thomas Schumacher's longplayer 'Home' as well as Oliver Huntemann's album 'Fieber'. Bodzin's also had a hand in half a dozen releases on Marc Romboy's Systematic label so it's only natural he was invited to mix the stable's next compilation.
'Systematic Colours Vol. 1' is the label's third comp but the first one dedicated to showcasing their own wares. Bodzin squeezes in seventeen tracks from the label's twenty-five singles and two longplayers including forthcoming releases from John Dahlback ('Now It's Not Summer') and new signing Phonique ('River') plus past singles by Marc Romboy, Zoo Brazil, Abysm and of course himself.
