  • Parisian tech house producer Alexkid releases his third album ‘Caracol’ in late April. Alexkid is especially known for his big club hits ‘Come With Me’ and ‘Don’t Hide It’, the latter of which you can find on Andrew Weatherall’s very early minimal mix for Fabric. Aside from remixing and engineering (for artists such as King Britt, Tosca, Phonique and Kiki), Alexkid also DJs, holding down a residency at Weekend in Berlin as well as regular ‘Ghost Blaster’ nights in London, Berlin and Paris alongside Chloe and Tim Paris. ‘Caracol’ means ‘snail’ in Spanish, but Alexkid promises something far from sluggish on his third album. “This album is more raw and electronic, something more physical, more for the clubs,” Alexkid told RA. “I got fed up with mixing real musicians with electronics. It was interesting when no one was doing it, but now it’s not for me.” Expect flashes of funk, echoes of Detroit and Chicago and slight touches of techno. ‘Caracol’ tracklist 1. Riverflow 2. Decibelly 3. Nightshade 4. Love Letters 5. Basic 6. Orm 7. Caracol 8. Mare Alta 9. Back and Forth ‘Caracol’ by Alexkid will be released on F Communications on April 30th, 2007.
