  • Daniel Bell relaunches his classic minimal imprint 7th City with a series of reissues this May. The news will come as a relief to Bell fans sick of playing crazy prices for the label on eBay, and with a bit of luck the next in the series might even be the rare and expensive ‘Planet Earth/Trance Missions’ from Brother From Another Planet/DBX which kicked off the label in 1992. Bell wound up 7th City in 2002, but this year the label returns to the stores, first with reissues of tracks from John Tejada (‘Timebomb’, 2002) and Claude Young as Brother From Another Planet (‘Acid Wash Conflict’, 1993) among others. Tracklists 7 City Classics Vol. 1 Brother From Another Planet - Acid Wash Conflict .Xtrak - Multiplexor 7 City Classics Vol. 2 John Tejada - Timebomb Cabanne - Can't Stand (Daniel Bell edit) 7 City Classics Vol. 3 Titonton Duvanté and Fabrice Lig - Even Deeper Anthony Shakir - Fact of the Matter For another Daniel Bell blast from the past, check out these guys getting jiggy to DBX’s ‘Electric Shock’ on ‘The New Dance Show’ which ran out of Detroit during the late eighties/early nineties. The ‘7 City Classics’ series will be released from May 22nd on 7th City.
