  • British nu wavers New Young Pony Club release their their debut album 'Fantastic Playroom' this week. Like many of their Modular labelmates, this co-ed quintet brings the dance floor to the rock kids and smothers them in bratty, synth and bass-driven tunes. Favoured by Cut Copy (who included their b-side 'Get Dancey' on 'FabricLive 29') and remixed by distortion enthusiast Herve, NYPC will see if their hipster funk gels with a wider audience with their full-length debut, out now on Modular/Island Records.
