Wildlife is a new night bringing techno from the likes of Kevin Saunderson, Marc Antona and Stewart Walker to Miami Beach on Sundays.
Time to call in sick on Mondays? Techno-starved Floridians would do well to check in at Wildlife Sundays, a new night bringing underground techno to Miami Beach each Sunday night. Yes, you read that right—it’s a quality techno night in Florida outside of WMC season. Held at Dream, the space formerly known as the Shadowlounge and Amika, the January schedule looks promising—the opening party this weekend is a Freak N Chic double-banger with Shonky and Marc Antona over from France, and next week pits Detroit first waver Kevin Saunderson against Jonas Bering from Kompakt.
Resident DJ at Wildlife is longtime Miami techno supporter Nova, responsible for the Pornograph parties around Miami and the Detroit Meets Miami BBQs at the WMC. Bring a change of clothes and head straight for work after?
KDJ's Mahogany Brown and Parrish's First Floor LPs will be out on vinyl again soon.
