Three years in the making, Jay Haze's new record consists of 35 tracks spread across two CDs and two vinyl LPs. Love & Beyond is out in April.
Never one to do the expected, Jay steers away from straight-up dance music on the record, and promises to explore hip-hop, soul and beyond across two hours and thirty minutes. The CD version and the vinyls have completely different tracklists: Disc one of the CD is billed as experimental soul and features vocal tracks, love ballads and vulgar sex jams, while disc two is an all-instrumental affair. The vinyls, meanwhile, are aimed more at the dancefloor, with the digital download version augmented by alternate mixes.
The lead single from the album ‘Ass to Mouth’ is out on March 3rd and features a collaboration with Ricardo Villalobos on the B-side.
