Drum n bass wunderkind High Contrast steps up for the fifth installment of Harmless Records’ Watch The Ride.
Drum n bass wunderkind High Contrast steps up for the fifth installment of Harmless Records’ mix series Watch The Ride.
High Contrast's choice of guest vocalists (Diane Charlemagne, Ian Shaw) and remix candidates (The White Stripes, Kanye West, Imogen Heap) have made him the drum n bass artist for non-DnB followers, and his …Ride mix starts with his DJ trademark: a personal remix of a track well outside the genre, Axwell’s souled-out house hit ‘I Found U’ from last year.
As always, the rest of the mix includes plenty of love for fellow Hospital Records producers Logistics, Nu:Tone, Danny Byrd and fresh signee Mistabishi. There’s also new pressure from newcomers The Brookes Brothers and Agent Alvin, last year’s dnb megahits ‘Hurt You’ by Chase & Status and Lynx’s ‘Disco Dodo,’ and an exclusive from Zinc, ‘Twelve’. HC’s artist album from last October, Tough Guys Don’t Dance, also gets another rinse with no less than four tracks appearing here.
