Detroit deep house producer Rick Wade follows up his two recent 12-inches on Yore Records with a new full length album. The Good, the Bad and the Deep is out in May.
Wade has been making his own deep strain of late-night house music since 1991, a style which references classic disco, smooth jazz, funk, and Philly soul as much as techno and house. The Good… likewise promises to reference past eras as much as the current one: ‘Xavi’ is billed as jazz-infused disco-funk, ‘Prime Expansion’ takes in Chain Reaction, while the Rhodes n bass slap cut ‘Hustler’s Den’ promises to bridge three decades of reference points.
