  • Düsseldorf DJ, producer and Desolat label head Loco Dice will release his debut album this May. Dice began his career as a hip-hop DJ, but in 2002 hooked up with producer Martin Buttrich and warmed up to dance music in a major way, leading to releases on high-profile labels like Minus, Cadenza and Cocoon. For his first full-length, Dice relocated from his Düsseldorf home to New York City and rented out a studio space with Buttrich, taking inspiration from the new surroundings. From the lovely architecture ('Got Leaks in the Roof') to inefficient public transport ('M Train to Brooklyn'), Dice explores the city that never sleeps via what the press notes call "reduced grooves, kept infinitely personal." Here's a video of 7 Dunham Place (supposedly). Tracklist 01 Breakfast at Nina's 02 How Do I Know?! 03 Consequently Excentric and Delicate 04 Black Truffles in the Snow 05 La Esquina 06 Tight Laces 07 Got Leaks in the Roof 08 Pimp Jackson Is Talkin Now!!! 09 M Train to Brooklyn Loco Dice's 7 Dunham Place will be released on Desolat on May 27, 2008.
