Fabrice Lig's second Soul Designer album Evolutionism gets an international release this month.
Previously only available in Japan, Evolutionism is a twelve-tracker of deep, melodic techno in the vein of Lig's past works made with his trusty SH-101 synth, the same prized piece of kit also used by the likes of Mathew Jonson and Joris Voorn. The album material includes peaktime techno ('The Power of the City'), a cover of Herbie Hancock’s ‘Rockit’, a collaboration with Ken Ishii as well as plenty of teasing build-ups and emotive strings.
