- The BPitch duo will also perform by themselves at one date in Tokyo.
Modeselektor will once again be taking on the honored role of opening act for Radiohead this October for the band's short jaunt in Japan.
The BPitch PR mathematicians have pegged the number of revelers at more than 150,000 for the six shows that the two groups will play in Osaka and Tokyo. Considering it's Radiohead, we're willing to believe it. Lately, though, Modeselektor hasn't been much of a slouch, pulling in enormous crowds at this year's Mutek festival, among many other appearances around the world. With a raucous live show to match the size of just about any crowd, we think the duo will probably do just fine.
If you can't stand to brave the enormous Radiohead contingent, however, the boys've got you covered. They'll also be playing a one-off show in Tokyo all by their lonesome on October 11th at Makuhari.
