The producer behind West Coast will release his first solo album next month.
Recording under the name the imaginative D.Lissvik moniker, the Balearic hero debut solo bow is entitled 7 Trx + Intermission and will—you guessed it—contain eight tracks, one of which is being label an intermission. To add to the straight-forward nature of the release, the samples posted at Lissvik's MySpace on the release sound almost exactly like what a solo Studio record might: A little bit sparer, a little bit quirkier and a little bit less vocal-centric. (For the record, there are no vocals on the record at all.) That said, you can hear all of the trademarks of the duo within Lissvik's tunes, leading us to believe that anyone who counts themselves a fan of Studio will enjoy this one too.
Information will release D. Lissvik's 7 Trx + Intermission on November 24, 2008 in CD and 12-inch formats.
