  • It's rare that you'll have a band making their first tour across a country in more than a quarter century, but that's exactly what Throbbing Gristle will do in April. The electronic music pioneers will be hitting five separate cities in their first US tour since 1981. The big one, of course, will be Indio, California—home of the Coachella Festival. But it stands to reason that shows at the Masonic Hall in Brooklyn and Epiphany Episcopal Church in Chicago will be pretty special as well. In addition to those three, two more California shows have been scheduled in Los Angeles and San Francisco. At each night, the band will be playing their soundtrack to Derek Jarman's film In the Shadow of the Sun as well as a second set composed of material from across the band's history except for Los Angeles, which will only feature the soundtrack performance.
