- Matthew Dear's techno project will release a monthly series of tracks throughout 2009.
Matthew Dear will return to his Audion guise in grand style this year, starting with a free download at his website.
The track's name is "I Am the Car" and it kicks off what Spectral Sound—Dear's favoured imprint—is promising will be a series of monthly releases on the site. It'll be all digital, but old schools DJs can take heart: The releases will be "periodically compiled into special 12-inch vinyl singles." All of this is apparently the process for the new album: "Slowly, an album will evolve and eventually be released." Whether that means that all, none or some of the tracks made available on the website will be included on the record is still unclear.
All anyone has to do to join in on the digital fun for now, though, need only enter their e-mail into the website here.
