- The Hamburg-based duo will release their latest LP in June.
Hamburg duo Phantom/Ghost are set to release Thrown Out Of Drama School, their fourth full-length LP in June.
Surfacing back in 2001 aboard their self-titled debut album, the pair have cheerfully existed upon a plain between bastardised pop and skeletal, vocal-led electronica ever since. Thies Mynther and Dirk von Lowtzow will reacquaint themselves with fellow Hamburg dwellers Dial after getting cosy with almost the entirety of the label's roster on last year's You're My Mate EP (with a cover of the Right Said Fred track of the same name, no less). Berlin artist Michaela Meise lends vocals to several of Thrown Out Of Drama School's nine tracks, filling a frequency range otherwise solely occupied by the piano.
Tracklist
01. The Charge of a Light Brigade
02. The Process (after Brion Gysin)
03. Thrown Out of Drama School
04. All Manner of Thing Shall Be Well
05. Ornithology
06. Meshes of the Afternoon
07. The Beautiful Fall
08. Miami
09. You're My Mate
Dial will release Phantom/Ghost's Thrown Out Of Drama School on June 9th, 2009.
