The Zoo Project returns to Ibiza

- The Zoo Project are set to storm Ibiza for their second year this summer. 2008 was a hugely successful opening year for the organisers, with their weekly Saturday shindigs managing to drag an average of 2500 people up to the hills of Benimussa to watch the sun set as they got down to the latest house and techno sounds. This year, they're looking to do it all over again, starting off at 4pm and carrying the party on for a full twelve hours. The idyllic surroundings of the Gala Night venue make it a change from the usual Ibizan nightspot, and at the moment, its isolated location means that it remains the last fully open-air venue on the island. But what musical entertainment can Zoo Project attendees expect? Only half of the season's schedule has been announced so far, but those there for Zoo's opening party will be treated to a live set of minimal house from Mannheim's boy wonder Johnny D. Judging by the acts revealed so far, minimalism seems to be The Zoo Project's focus, with Nima Gorji, Argenis Brito, Miguel Toro Monika Kruse and System Of Survival all set to play throughout the beginning of the season. There are some concessions to fuller, more jacking sounds, however, with Back2Basics resident Buckley and 3 Channels' suitably animalistic Catz N' Dogz project.
