Jazzanova hit the festivals

- The German crew will play several dates across Europe with a new 10-piece live band this summer.
- Jazzanova are set to launch their new live show with a tour of European festivals. The DJ/producer collective of Alexander Barck, Claas Brieler, Jürgen Von Knoblauch, Roskow Kretschmann, Stefan Leisering and Axel Reinemer have been running their Sonar Kollektiv label out of Berlin for over ten years now, fusing jazz, funk, house and techno into their own particular brand of organic electronic music. As if the six permanent members weren't enough, they'll be expanding their live act to a 10-piece, roping in friend and collaborator Clara Hill to take control of the mic. Detroit-based musician Paul Randolph will also play bass and supply lead vocals for the shows, which will encompass both their latest album Of All Things. The festival tour will kick off this weekend with performance at both the Synch festival in Athens and Bratislava's Wilsonic event, with the band taking in Germany (Melt!), Holland (North Sea Jazz Festival), Belgium (Dour), Finland (Flow) and Ireland (Electric Picnic) over the coming months.
