Axel Willner and his band will play the only London date of their current tour this Sunday.
For the last couple of months, Axel and his merry men have been traversing across the US on the nationwide Kompakt vs. DFA tour, but are now safely back on European soil after some rigorous road testing of their new incarnation. Taking place at Shoreditch's Queen Of Hoxton, the London date will be the only remaining club show of Willner's before he takes to the summer festivals, so it'll be a rare chance to catch the man in action on a smaller stage. The venue will be open from 3pm for some BBQ action on the roof terrace, before the club's basement is opened for the performance at 7pm. With our US correspondents reporting a renewed vigour and clarity on the group's American dates, hardcore fans will be able to see how The Field has evolved over the past year, complete with the band's new Michel Gondry-esque projected visuals.
