  • Daniel Bell and Larry Heard are set to venture south for Brazilian gigs before the month is out. Both artists will play at São Paulo's much-lauded D-Edge Club, which strikes a nice balance between cosy intimacy and the plush futurism that you'd normally associate with bigger venues. Its sound system is connected to LED panels that cover the entire interior structure of the building, making clubbing there an immersive experience of light and sound. All this wouldn't be much good if the DJs weren't up to scratch, but Brazilian residents are certainly in for a treat both this weekend and next. Daniel Bell is first up on Saturday night, making a headlining performance at the club's monthly Mothership bash. While Bell is generally known for his stripped back techno productions, he's also a connaisseur of house music, and is happy to play both styles in his DJ sets. One man that certainly knows a lot about house music is Larry Heard, a man who pioneered a more melodic and sensual strain of house during the '80s. Expect plenty of Chicago classics mixed up with more modern fare when he arrives at D-Edge on Friday 27th November.
