  • Argy will travel from his Berlin home to headline this Saturday's Kontrol party at The End Up. The Greek producer has had a steady rise over the course of the last five years, first emerging with the international smash "Love Dose" on Poker Flat in 2005. The last few years, however, have seen the producer straying from the minimal style that he originally made his name with, instead plumping for a housier sound while collaborating with the likes of Jerome Sydenham, DJ Gregory and NYC upstarts The Martinez Brothers. He'll be taking top spot on the bill this Saturday, but his support act is certainly a draw all by himself. After a long spell producing techno for Synewave and his own Infrastructure New York labels, Dave Sumner (AKA Function) joined the Sandwell District collective, focusing on purist minimal techno that will still work a dance floor. Sumner's style is arguably the most melodic of his fellow labelmates, but revellers on The End Up's dance floor should still expect a large dose of pounding techno when he takes to the decks.
