- Timespan will be the Zombi drummer's first solo release.
Majeure, AKA A.E. Paterra, has finished recording a debut album that will see release this spring.
As drummer of the cosmic disco duo Zombi, Paterra produces soaring analogue tracks that hark back to sci-fi and horror soundtracks from the '70s and '80s. As Majeure, he pushes the envelope a bit more, letting his pieces unfurl well past the ten minute mark to evoke the feeling of a cosmic sprawl. While Zombi has thus far been released primarily by the metal label Relapse, Majeure's debut will find a home on Temporary Residence Limited, sharing a roster with post-rock acts like Mogwai, Mono and Explosions in the Sky.
