- The electro-pop five piece will play twelve live dates over the course of next month.
Hot Chip will hit the road in support of their One Life Stand album throughout February.
Their fourth album will drop at the start of the month, giving fans a couple of weeks to become accustomed to the studio versions of the new tracks before the tour kicks off at Glasgow's O2 Academy on Friday 12th February. The Edinburgh show the following night is already sold out, but there are still tickets remaining for all of the English dates, which will take in Nottingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol and Norwich before finishing off with two consecutive nights at London's Brixton Academy.
The first of the London shows will be more like the conventional gigs that the band have performed throughout the month, with support coming from Grosvenor and Casiokids, but the final show of the tour will operate as a club night with a later start and finish time. Cowbell-plinking punk-funkers Zongamin will also perform live, while versatile electronic duo Spring Heel Jack will DJ on the night, and it definitely wouldn't surprise us at all if some of Hot Chip's members also took to the turntables throughout the evening's festivities.
